There are both yes\/no questions and open-ended questions. The vocabulary and forms are suitable for beginner language learners (thanks in part to the illustrations), but for added interest, some more advanced vocabulary is included, e.g., tin valama (to pour tin), uusaastalubadusi andma (to make New Year\u2019s resolutions), and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Student:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>repeats and expands vocabulary, including question words<\/li>\n<li>forms the past tense \u201cmina\u201d form based on the second-person singular (\u201csina\u201d) form<\/li>\n<li>forms affirmative and negative sentences in the past tense (practices forming the past participle with -nud)<\/li>\n<li>can talk about themselves and their own holidays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If desired, and for more talkative students, the material can be modified\u2014for example, practicing the past tense with other persons, asking students to come up with an additional question for each prompt, writing a short story about a friend\u2019s holidays based on their answers, or comparing their own answers with others\u2019 to find similarities and differences.<\/p>\n<p>All materials are visible in the preview.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Past tense conversation cards.
